Academic Pediatric Emergency Medicine Position

The Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Golisano Children’s Hospital at Strong / The University of Rochester Medical Center is searching for a PEM Board-Certified /Eligible / Fellowship-trained academic faculty member.  The Division currently has nine PEM faculty members, four PEM Fellows and is a training site for Emergency Medicine and Pediatric residents.   Tuition benefits for post graduate degrees are available. Research mentorship and collaboration is encouraged.

Our 22 bed Pediatric ED is adjacent to a busy adult ED, with shared trauma, fast-track and psychiatric emergency areas. Our annual Pediatric census is approaching 30,000. As the region’s only tertiary care referral center, we provide specialized pediatric emergency care for a large portion of upstate New York.  Along with 24-hour attending /fellow coverage, we have a dedicated Pediatric ED nursing staff, a child life specialist, ED pharmacists, and all consulting specialties. Rochester’s four-season climate, affordable cost of living, competitive salaries and benefits make this an attractive position for the Pediatric Emergency physician interested in combining clinical, teaching, and research skills in a stimulating academic environment.
