United Mental Health Services (MHS) is a multi-specialty group with 10-12 psychiatrists, RNs and CNS. The Emergency department is covered by masters level licensed assessment and referral staff. Psychiatrists are not expected to see consults in the ED on a regular basis.

United MHS has four Mental Health Units: two adult units with 29 beds, a 15 bed adolescent unit and a 15 bed geriatric unit. All units are locked.

The outpatient clinic at United Hospital is located on the hospital campus.

United is licensed for 556 beds, it offers staffing privileges to more than 1,000 physicians and employs more than 3,000 men and women dedicated to a vision of offering superior service and the highest quality of clinical care. Mental Health Services (MHS) of United Hospital provides mental health and substance abuse treatment that is tailored to the needs of the individual. We are dedicated to improving the quality of life of the clients we serve by providing the support and tools to be successful in their recovery efforts. The role of MHS is to provide early detection of mental health and substance abuse issues, consultation and education, and coordinated access to services throughout the entire continuum of mental health and substance abuse care. A few of the services we provide include: Crisis Intervention Services, Mental Health Services Inpatient and Outpatient, Substance Abuse Services and Geriatric Psychiatry.

This position consists of 40% inpatient and 60% outpatient.

Telephonic call every 10th-12th weekend and every 10th-12th night.
