Muscle Shoals, AL Shoals Hospital • 12,000 Annual ED Volume • Very Competitive Rates • 8-bed ED (2 Trauma, 1 OB/GYN, 1 Ortho) • 15% Urgent, 5% Emergent, 80% non-urgent, 1% Trauma • Single Physician coverage 12 hour shifts (6-6) Provides all specialty backup (except Neuro, OB, Ophthalmology) ER physicians do write admitting orders and do respond to in-house codes • Must have completed a Residency and be BE • 127-bed facility • Specialty beds: Trauma, Cardiac, OB • 10% of Hospital admissions come for the ER • E-Power Documentation The Shoals area is composed of four cities, Florence, Sheffield, Tuscumbia and Muscle Shoals.
